Land Use Bill Part III

You are probably getting tired of this, but there was an informative article in the Trib today indicating that SB170 was a "way over the top" submission, to get the attention of offending cities. There is some good in the proposed bill, but the punitive measures and the usurping of local decision making is troubling. Legislating is not akin to a prosecutor who "over charges" in order to reduce the charges to effect a plea bargain. It raises questions about the credibility of the several players. This type of approach  further polarizes the interested parties. Apparently, the bill is going to be redrafted and refiled. Stay tuned....
